Gelsenkirchen Police taking Stalker of Taylor Swift into custody before concert
According to the officials, the man in question is a 34-year-old from the USA. He had attracted attention on social media through threats against Swift and her boyfriend, US-football player Travis Kelce. Since a danger could not be completely ruled out, the man was identified and taken into custody at the entrance control for the concert, to which he had a ticket.
The court ordered preventive detention lasting until Saturday for safety reasons. There had never been a danger to Swift or concert-goers, it was stated. Around 60,000 people were present at the Wednesday evening event, the first of three sold-out concerts in Gelsenkirchen. The event ran peacefully according to police reports. In the run-up, there had been traffic jams on the Autobahn 2 due to accidents.
- Despite being under police supervision, the 34-year-old American fan was still scheduled to attend Taylor Swift's concert in Germany.
- The stalker, who had threatened both Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was caught before he could enter the World tour concert in Gelsenkirchen.
- Taylor Swift's concert in the USA was a completely different experience, lacking the drama of the Germany concert that involved the stalker's arrest.
- The police were on high alert at Taylor Swift's concert in Gelsenkirchen, ensuring the safety of the 60,000 attendees and the singer herself, following the stalker's detention.

- The German concert, despite the stalker incident, was a successful part of Taylor Swift's World tour, leaving attendees with a memorable experience.
