Tariff dispute - GDL strike call also at Transdev subsidiaries in NRW
The German Train Drivers' Union(GDL) has also called on employees of NordWestBahn GmbH and Transdev Rhein-Ruhr GmbH in North Rhine-Westphalia to go on warning strike from 10 p.m. on Thursday until 10 p.m. on Friday. GDL district chairman Sven Schmitte pointed out on Thursday that several wage negotiations with companies were running in parallel. The GDL had declared the failure of negotiations with Transdev. The GDL district chairman announced a central strike rally for North Rhine-Westphalia this Friday at 12.00 noon in front of Cologne Central Station. In addition to hundreds of strikers, the deputy head of the GDL, Lars Jedinat, is expected to attend.
