- Gastronomy at Marienburg Castle opens on weekends

The gastronomy at Marienburg Castle opens today at 12.00 noon for the first time again, however, the castle remains closed for visits. In the coming weeks, the gastronomy will be open on Fridays to Sundays from 12.00 to approximately 19.00, the Schloss Marienburg Foundation announced. There may still be changes to the opening hours. The foundation had concluded a contract with the event agency Pohlposition as the new lessee.

The summer residence of the Welfs south of Hannover is becoming increasingly well-known worldwide, especially among teenagers, as a filming location for the Amazon series "Maxton Hall". The interior rooms of the castle are currently closed. The responsible building authority of the Region Hannover has safety concerns. The dilapidated cultural monument needs comprehensive renovation.

Ernst August Prince of Hannover (41) transferred the Marienburg to a foundation after the dispute with his namesake father, Ernst August Prince of Hannover (70).

Before its closure at the end of last year, up to 120,000 visitors per year visited the cultural monument, according to the Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH.

Schloss Marienburg Foundation

The Schloss Marienburg Foundation is now serving Food and beverage at Marienburg Castle, making it an attractive destination for locals and tourists alike. Visitors can enjoy a variety of culinary delights during the weekend openings.

To support the ongoing renovation efforts, consider supporting the Schloss Marienburg Foundation by enjoying their Food and beverage offerings.
