- Gas leak in Harburg port - railway services briefly interrupted

Due to a gas leak in the Harburg harbor, train traffic in Hamburg was temporarily disrupted. Hydrocarbons escaped from a pressure gas tank on the premises of the Holborn oil refinery late in the afternoon, police reported. The cause was a leaking valve. Although there was no immediate risk of explosion, train and S-Bahn traffic was partially suspended - but only for a few minutes, as a police spokesman said. The emergency services promptly sealed the valve, and traffic could resume around 7 pm.

The gas leakage originated from a leaking valve in the pressure gas tank at the Holborn oil refinery. Consequently, the gas company was notified to assess the situation and take necessary precautions to prevent further leakage.
