Friends of flora, it's time to explore some beautiful gardens once again in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region! There are 123 private gardens, parks, or nurseries across the nation waiting for you to visit during the "Open Gardens in MV" event. One-third of them are newcomers, a spokesperson informed us.

Usually, these places are closed to the public, but for this special weekend, they'll welcome you from Saturday to Sunday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. With many locations providing refreshments like coffee and cake, it's a great opportunity to see these normally off-limits gems. To plan your journey and visit multiple gardens, check out the list of participants on their official website.

The fun doesn't stop there! Agricultural enterprises in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will also be opening their doors as part of the nationwide "Day of the Open Farm" event. Get ready to hear from farmers, learn about their work, and discuss agricultural policies. A diverse range of farms is expected- from alpaca farms to pig farms to gigantic dairy farms. If you're looking for family-friendly activities, some of the farms have treats like tractor rides for kids, technology demonstrations, honey slingshots, or farmer's markets with local products.

And the gardens are not the only exciting places to visit that weekend. A total of twelve farms will participate in this year's event in the northeast, creating a variety of agricultural experiences. From alpaca farms to pig farms to large dairy farms, there's something for everyone. Farmer's associations have confirmed that visitors can expect discussions on daily farming work, along with insights into current political demands.
