- Gang of thieves stealing at least two cars

A suspected gang from Thuringia is believed to have stolen at least two cars. Due to their professional approach, police are investigating three suspects aged 25, 38, and 58 for serious grand theft auto, as reported by authorities.

At the end of June, the 25-year-old and the 38-year-old are suspected of stealing a vehicle from the premises of a car dealership in Lower Franconian Bad Kissingen. During searches a month later, police found the car at the residence of the 25-year-old suspect. They are also believed to have stolen another vehicle in Hesse's Bad Hersfeld, which was later discovered at the 38-year-old's location.

Investigations suggest that the men altered the cars mechanically to register them as new. The 58-year-old, an employee at a vehicle inspection station, provided the documents for the tampered vehicles. Whether the men are suspects in other thefts is still unclear.

The police are examining the three suspects' involvement in the procedure of altering the cars' mechanics to falsify their new registrations. After conducting their investigation, they discovered one of the stolen cars at the 25-year-old suspect's residence, following the alleged procedure of stealing the vehicles.
