Fury in the Slaughterhouse are "Hat wearers of the year"
Kai and Thorsten Wingenfelder from the band Fury in the Slaughterhouse have been named "Hat Wearers of the Year". The Gemeinschaft Deutscher Hutfachgeschäfte (Association of German Hat Shops) awarded the duo the "Gold Hat" in Hamburg, according to a statement on Friday. The award has been presented since 2013.
The brothers like to wear headgear both at their gigs and in their private lives: Pork pie and caps are their trademarks, fedoras, narrow men's caps, knitted and balloon caps are also included. "This is a beautiful and original award," said Kai Wingenfelder, who celebrates his 64th birthday on November 26.
Previous "Hat Wearers of the Year" were singer Max Mutzke, actor Jan Josef Liefers and former national goalkeeper Nadine Angerer.
Fury in the Slaughterhouse ("Won't Forget These Days") was one of the most successful German bands in the 1990s. The musicians from Hanover disbanded in 2008 and reunited in 2017. Their latest album "Hope" was released in July. Kai Wingenfelder is the band's singer, Thorsten plays guitar.
People celebrated the achievement of Kai and Thorsten Wingenfelder, as their band Fury in the Slaughterhouse was recognized with the title of "Hat Wearers of the Year." This recognition in the field of music and fashion further solidified their unique style and appeal.
At the heels of this fashion award, speculations about potential music awards for Fury in the Slaughterhouse begun to surface, as their latest album "Hope" continues to receive positive reviews.
