Further snowfall and slightly rising temperatures

At the beginning of the new week, people in Hesse must continue to expect wintry weather. In some places, however, temperatures will rise temporarily and turn snow into rain, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach on Sunday.

Weather - Further snowfall and slightly rising temperatures

At the beginning of the new week, people in Hesse must continue to expect wintry weather. In some places, however, temperatures will rise temporarily and turn snow into rain, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach on Sunday.

According to the forecast, light snowfall is possible from the Rothaargebirge to the Weser in the night to Monday. Monday will then start off cloudy but dry. According to the meteorologists, precipitation is to be expected again during the course of the day in large parts of Hesse, initially falling as snow and later as rain. There is also a risk of black ice. In the north-east, there will be permafrost with temperatures between minus 3 and 0 degrees. In the southwest, temperatures will be up to 2 degrees.

According to the DWD, it will remain very cloudy on Tuesday with rain showers in the lowlands and sleet in the mountains. Highs during the day will be between 3 and 5 degrees, with temperatures of minus 1 degree in the peaks.
