- Further Bomb Threats to Schools
In Aschersleben (Salzlandkreis) and in Genthin (Landkreis Jerichower Land), there have been bomb threats at schools. In Aschersleben, two schools received threats via email, as stated by a police spokesperson. Measures were taken, but operations have since resumed. In Genthin, the police were on the scene with a bomb-sniffing dog.
On Wednesday, bomb threats disrupted operations at two schools in Dessau-Roßlau and in Magdeburg. Other federal states have also received threats in recent days. In most cases, the all-clear was given shortly afterward.
Following the incidents in Dessau-Roßlau and Magdeburg, concerns about safety in schools have increased. Despite the all-clear, the repeated bomb threats across different federal states can be classified as a worrying trend, indicating a rise in such Crime incidents.
