2nd league - Fürth want to "tackle the task with a high level of concentration"
Coach Alexander Zorniger has prepared SpVgg Greuther Fürth for a determined opponent in the upcoming away game in the 2nd Bundesliga. "They'll come at us with everything they've got," Zorniger warned his Franconian side ahead of Saturday's match against relegation candidates Eintracht Braunschweig (1pm/Sky). Braunschweig, under their new coach Daniel Scherning, will be "very physical". "We will tackle the game with a high level of concentration," assured Zorniger a few days after extending his contract until the summer of 2026.
Since Zorniger's debut with Fürth in October last year with a 1-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld, who were still coached by Scherning at the time, the Franconians have developed further. They are currently in fifth place in the table. In their last five games against Braunschweig, they have picked up a whopping 13 points. Despite adductor problems, nothing should stand in the way of offensive player Julian Green playing.
