After a fatal traffic accident on a federal road near Wehrheim (High Taunus district) on Wednesday morning, a man turned himself in to police, believed to be involved. Police had been searching for a hit-and-run driver. The 37-year-old from Frankfurt am Main contacted police through his lawyer later that evening. In the accident near the Saalburg, a 41-year-old driver died. His 59-year-old passenger was severely injured and taken to a hospital.

The police had been intensifying their search for the hit-and-run driver after the fatal accident. Following the man's lawyer's contact, they confirmed his involvement in the accident.
