Law enforcement action - Fugitive donkeys roam through Donauwörth.
A pair of runaway donkeys created a commotion in Donau-Ries and had the police scurrying to keep up. The creatures were noticed at a roundabout in Donauwörth, the authorities said on Sunday. Quick-thinking pedestrians held them in place until the police showed up. Using their creativity, the officers set up a makeshift pen using barriers to contain the mule-like creatures. Once the donkeys' owners showed up, they were given back to them. However, the restless animals proved their stubbornness, requiring two patrol cars to escort them to their home.
