Handball - Füchse Berlin win easily against Izvidac with B-Elf

The Füchse Berlin handball team have also won their last group game in the European League. On Tuesday evening, the Bundesliga club won with a B team in front of 3,922 spectators in the Max-Schmeling-Halle against the winless Bosnian representative HC Izvidac by a clear 34:23 (16:15). The group victory and the advancement were already clear. Berlin's best scorer was Tim Freihöfer with six goals.

Due to the insignificance of the game, coach Jaron Siewert was without the quintet of Mathias Gidsel, Lasse Andersson, Mijajlo Marsenic, Dejan Milodsavljev and Hans Lindberg, who had been under heavy strain recently. Keeper Viktor Kireev celebrated his comeback from injury. The majority of the squad consisted of players from cooperation partner 1. VfL Potsdam and the second team.

Nevertheless, the Berlin B team got off to a furious start and quickly took a 5:1 lead. However, the young and inexperienced team then had to learn the hard way. The Foxes conceded a 0:5 run and the game was evenly poised up to half-time.

However, that changed after half-time. The Foxes then got serious and pulled away with a 9:0 run. It took the visitors over nine minutes to even score their first goal in the second half. The hosts then took the victory home without any problems. The main group stage starts in the new year.
