Betrayal of Confidence with Shocking Aftermath: On a Saturday night, authorities in Nuremberg apprehended a 45-year-old individual, suspected of brutally mistreating a dog that had been placed in his care. The canine belongs to a friend of the man, who departed on holiday, as reported by a police spokesperson.

A nearby resident notified the police after observing the 45-year-old repeatedly kicking curbs in Schopenhauerstraße. Upon arrival, a police squad encountered the clearly intoxicated man, leading a little dog.

The animal displayed evident signs of harm. Investigators discovered fur and blood residue on a stationary vehicle at the scene, indicative of the dog being collided against the vehicle during the walk.

The dog was swiftly moved to a vet clinic, where the police verified the presence of serious injuries. A breathalyzer test determined the suspect's blood alcohol concentration to exceed twice the legal threshold. The 45-year-old is currently under investigation for neglecting animal welfare regulations and was subsequently detained within the confines of a police station for the remainder of the night.

The dog is still receiving stationary treatment at the vet clinic, as per the police spokesperson.
