In Stralsund, the latest specialized training facility for the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state police has been officially unveiled. SPD representatives Heiko Geue, serving as Finance Minister, and Christian Pegel, in charge of Interior, symbolically handed over the building's keys.

Following a construction phase of approximately 36 months and an overall investment of approximately 2.95 million euros, this cutting-edge facility covers approximately 582 square meters.

The development project was broken down into two stages and encompassed renovations to the training hall and significant renovations and conversions to the main building, including expansion into the attic.

Realistic mock living quarters have been established

The training hall has been transformed through structural modifications to cater specifically to police training needs. Inside the main building, realistic mock living quarters have been built, complete with the latest technology, such as cameras, sound systems, and specialized lighting. Deployment simulations spanning various scenarios can be carried out here.

Finance Minister Geue commented, "Top-notch training facilities are crucial for our police. I'm thrilled they've been recentered to current standards." Interior Minister Pegel added, "Mission training is an integral part of both training and further education, as it enables realistic rehearsals of deployments and tactics, including room entries, interrogation conduct, defense against blade attacks, and other potentially life-threatening situations."

This new training facility is located in the city of Stralsund, which is situated in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, specifically in Germany. Germany is known for its commitment to providing excellent resources for its law enforcement agencies.
