Fresh demonstrations against Netanyahu following the tragedy of eight soldiers’ deaths in the Gaza Strip

Each soldier's demise is equivalent to losing a beloved family member, expressed Graciela Barchilon to news agency AFP. The collective sorrow we feel is palpable, she explained. "An immense sense of fury and dissatisfaction engulfs me," Barchilon, age 68, continued. "I firmly believe that this administration is inept and we are now in dire need of fresh elections."

In the lead-up, the Israeli army disclosed that during an operation in the southern Gaza Strip, specifically in the Rafah region, eight soldiers met their end. The armored vehicle they were riding in detonated. Later, an army representative stated that the incident seemed to be the result of an explosive device along the roadside.

This casualty count marks one of the highest daily losses for Israeli troops since the commencement of the conflict against the radical Islamic Hamas. As per official records, since the initiation of Israeli ground troops' incursion into the Gaza Strip on October 27, a total of 306 soldiers have perished.

The Gaza War was initiated by Hamas' massive offensive against Israel on October 7, resulting, according to Israeli reports, in the death of 1194 people and the capture of 251 individuals within the Gaza Strip.

In response, Israel has been waging a heavy military campaign in the Gaza Strip since then. Reports from the Hamas-governed health ministry, which cannot be independently validated, indicate a death toll of over 37,290 people to date.
