A freight train has hit two cows in the Reichstadt district of Frankenau. The animals were killed by the impact, as the police reported on Sunday. They had fallen onto the tracks while being herded. The railcar was no longer roadworthy after the train accident early on Friday evening and had to be towed away. The damage to property is reportedly estimated at around 10,000 euros. The police initially gave no information about injuries.
