Strife in the Middle East - Freie Universität marked by red triangles: Promotion
Mysterious individuals sprayed red triangles on multiple structures at the Free University of Berlin overnight on a Wednesday. The university informed the public about this instance on the same day. The inverted triangle is often associated with Hamas supporters. The university's management reportedly submitted a complaint.
The presidium firmly denounced the graffiti. The president of the Free University, Günter M. Ziegler, expressed his disapproval through a statement: "We won't let antisemitism, racism, Islamophobia, or any other kind of discrimination or violence have a home at the Free University of Berlin."
The previous night, unknown individuals had covered the Institute for Social Sciences at the Humboldt University with a red triangle and the label "HU."
