Freiburg start home game against Darmstadt with a knock
SC Freiburg will go into their home match against promoted SV Darmstadt 98 on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky) with a number of injured players. Midfielder Merlin Röhl has returned injured from the German U21 national team and is likely to miss the game. Several experienced players such as captain Christian Günter, full-back Lukas Kübler and striker Maximilian Philipp are already missing for Baden.
After three games without a win in a row, SC are still well ahead of the relegation places in the Bundesliga table. However, the coming weeks are very important, said coach Christian Streich. They want to increase the gap to the bottom as much as possible.
