Freiburg aim to reach the knockout phase of the Europa League
SC Freiburg can secure an early place in the knockout phase of the Europa League with a draw against Olympiakos Piraeus. However, a defeat today (18:45/RTL+) could see them relegated to the Conference League ahead of the final matchday in Group A at West Ham United in London.
SC coach Christian Streich will be able to call on the recently injured Roland Sallai and Merlin Röhl for the clash with the Greeks, for whom this is the last chance to progress. However, unlike U21 talent Röhl, Hungarian international Sallai is not yet an option for the starting eleven, Streich said on Wednesday.
