A person in handcuffs managed to break free from a police officer's grasp and bolted in Marbach am Neckar, a district of Ludwigsburg. Law enforcement employed a helicopter and canines in their search for the fugitive, but they failed to locate him, according to police reports.

The person was apprehended with a 27-year-old individual after they were accused of inducing a rear-end collision. A 47-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in the incident. The suspects abandoned the scene on Bundesstraße 328 near Aspach, Rems-Murr district, and were reported in a cul-de-sac in Marbach am Neckar by onlookers.

Discovered Firearms

The two were believed to be under the influence of drugs and examining their mangled vehicle. They were unresponsive to police commands. Police temporarily detained the duo, and during the search of the vehicle, they discovered a substantial sum of money, various mobile devices, and a modest quantity of tranquilizers.

Furthermore, a hidden bag containing two firearms and ammunition was discovered in the same street, following a tip from a witness. One of the weapons was connected to a 2023 burglary at a residence in Heilbronn.

Fugitive's Disappearance

The pair were then transported individually to the Marbach am Neckar police station, where one of them managed to escape. He managed to break free from a policeman's hold and darted towards the town center.

In response to the events that occurred on Wednesday, investigations were carried out in Böblingen and Sindelfingen, aided by a special operations unit from the police headquarters. Additional mobile devices were confiscated during the searches.

The 27-year-old suspect is said to be operating without a valid driver's license. He was required to submit to a blood test.

The law enforcement continued their search for the escaped suspect using the helicopter, but he was not found. Upon discovering the hidden bag with firearms, police linked one of the weapons to a recent burglary in Heilbronn.
