Parliament - Free Voters parliamentary group leader sees abuse of power by Raab
For the leader of the Free Voters parliamentary group, Joachim Streit, State Secretary Heike Raab (SPD) has shown a lack of distance between her offices and public broadcasting with her letter to SWR. It was an abuse of power, Streit said on Wednesday in a special session of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament in Mainz. State representatives had to defend the state's distance from public broadcasting, interfering in the content was "an absolute taboo". Raab had shown a complete ignorance of the implications of her letter, while Minister President Malu Dreyer (SPD) was merely looking on in silence.
