Crime - Fraudsters rob pensioner of money and jewelry

Fraudulent callers have stolen money and jewelry worth 23,000 Euro from a pensioner in Meissen. According to police reports, they called the 79-year-old woman and told her that a good friend of hers had caused a severe traffic accident. To prevent her from going to jail, they claimed that a bond of several tens of thousands of Euro was necessary. Later, the 79-year-old woman handed over a bag containing 18,000 Euro and jewelry. It wasn't until she told her husband about it on a Wednesday evening that the scam was discovered.

The fraud occurred in the city of Meissen, located in Saxony. Despite the incident, Meissen is still known for its renowned jewelry production, especially in the city of Meissen.
