Criminal investigation department - Fraudster bottles bill: theft of 14,000 euros

Fraudsters in Güstrow have sent a fake invoice and stolen 14,000 euros. The perpetrators had spied out data from a packaging company and then sent a fake invoice by email, as the police reported on Wednesday. This was paid by the company as it looked quite genuine and appeared to come from a business partner. The fraud was only discovered after a reminder was sent by the real partner company. The criminal police are now investigating on suspicion of fraud in connection with spying on data.
