Bundesliga - Frankfurt's female soccer players meet DFB admission criteria

The women's football team of Eintracht Frankfurt can participate in the Bundesliga for the upcoming season after completing the admission procedure with the German Football Association (DFB). As they announced on Friday, both the professionals and the U20 team have received admission for the 2. Bundesliga.

The admission procedure for the 2024/25 season was influenced by changes that had been agreed upon in consultation with the clubs and the Women's Bundesliga Committee. For instance, there are new requirements for head coaches and medical departments. For 2. Liga clubs, it mainly concerned recommendations to prepare them for the admission criteria in case of promotion.

The Bundesliga players begin the new season between August 30 and September 2. The 2. Liga starts a week earlier on August 24.
