Bundesliga - Frankfurt's Dina Ebimbe questionable against Leverkusen: Trapp fit

Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt may have to do without their versatile professional Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe for the end of the year. The 23-year-old injured his ankle in the 2-0 defeat in Aberdeen on Thursday evening and is in danger of being ruled out. The attacking player suffered a sprain to the sole of his left foot. The club announced on Friday that he is doubtful to play against Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday (17:30/DAZN).

A loss of the Frenchman would be very painful for the Hessians. In the recent 5:1 win over FC Bayern, Dina Ebimbe excelled as a double goal scorer. Things are looking better for Kevin Trapp, however. The national goalkeeper was also substituted early in Aberdeen due to back pain. However, he is already feeling better. Nothing should stand in the way of him playing.

Fares Chaibi, who fell ill at short notice and missed the game in Aberdeen as a result, could replace the suspended Omar Marmoush in the center of attack. "He doesn't look like the real deal yet, but if he feels well, he'll be in the starting line-up," said coach Dino Toppmöller. He also has hopes for the return of Ellyes Skhiri. The Frenchman could recover from his thigh injury in time and at least take his place on the bench.
