Eintracht Frankfurt begins their DFB Cup journey at Eintracht Braunschweig on Monday (8:45 PM/ARD and Sky). Led by goalkeeper and fresh captain Kevin Trapp, they'll take on a second division team without their new signing Arthur Theate. The Belgian Euro participant, formerly of Stade Rennes, is anticipated to join the squad for the league kickoff against Borussia Dortmund next Saturday.

Eintracht is aiming for a victorious cup run: Last season, the 2018 champions and 2023 finalists were eliminated in the round of 16 by surprise team 1. FC Saarbrücken. Regional league team Kickers Offenbach clash with second division team 1. FC Magdeburg at 6 PM (Sky).

The Court of Justice might need to intervene if there are disputes about the Transfer Market regulations, considering the delayed arrival of Arthur Theate to Eintracht Frankfurt. Regardless of the cup outcome, Eintracht Frankfurt will face The Court of Justice for the UEFA Europa League group stage draw on August 26.
