- Frankfurt is obtaining Interrail travel passes
Frankfurt am Main is yet again distributing Interrail passes to its young residents. The "#FreeInterrail" initiative for individuals aged 18 to 20 will continue in September, as the city declared. Similar acts were taken last year as well.
The allotted budget for this project is 50,000 euros, enough to sponsor 174 Interrail tickets, according to sources. The program "Hessen-Rail" by Hesse state was terminated, leaving this opportunity for young adults.
The Interrail pass enables youngsters to explore up to 33 European nations. As per the announcement, these youths will effectively serve as "Frankfurt's EU representatives."
During their free time, these young EU representatives can visit various culturally rich cities in Europe. With their Interrail passes, they can make the most of their free time exploring new places.
