Frankfurt is looking for a place to relocate Crack-dependent individuals off the streets in the Bahnhofsviertel. Elke Voitl, head of the Social and Health Department (Greens), mentioned an advancement in Frankfurt's strategy.

Back in 1994, December marked the establishment of Germany's first official drug consumption room in Frankfurt's eastern district. Currently, the city has four such places, with additional ones located in the Bahnhofsviertel. Initially, these centers were primarily for heroin addicts.

However, Crack has now taken over as the main drug, being openly smoked on the streets in quick successions, leading to a decline in individuals' conditions. Voitl acknowledged this issue. To address it, Frankfurt plans to establish a Comprehensive Substance Abuse and Addiction Support Center with a designated area for Crack consumption. According to her, "Our drug consumption rooms need to be more equipped than before to cater to Crack users in a highly stimulated state."

The Bahnhofsviertel, known for its drug issue, also hosts some of Frankfurt's additional substance abuse centers. In an effort to combat the rising issue of Crack addiction, Frankfurt intends to establish a comprehensive Substance Abuse and Addiction Support Center in Hessen.
