Berlin's handball team, the "Foxes," continue their winning streak in preseason. On Friday evening, they defeated second-division side HSC 2000 Coburg 37:32 (22:14). Nils Lichtlein was the top scorer for Berlin with ten goals. Despite missing three Olympic players—Mathias Gidsel and Lasse Andersson (both Denmark) and Max Darj (Sweden)—and the injured duo of Paul Drux and Max Beneke, four players from the second team got to play in the match.

Another friendly match is scheduled for Saturday in the Allgäu against Württemberg league team MTG Wangen (2:00 PM). Starting Thursday, the Foxes will face their first serious test opponents at a tournament hosted by their partner club in Potsdam. They will play against first-division newcomers 1. VfL Potsdam and Danish first-division team Bjerringbro-Silkeborg.

The capital's Champions League participant will play their first competitive match on August 31 in the Supercup against champions and cup winners SC Magdeburg. Their first Bundesliga match will be on September 7 against ThSV Eisenach.

The "Foxes" handball team is also expected to show their skills in the friendly match against MTG Wangen on Saturday. Despite their absence, the team's second division players proved their worth against HSC 2000 Coburg, showing promise for upcoming matches against more challenging opponents.
