- Foxes Berlin win test in Lübbenau by a wide margin
The handballers of the Berlin Foxes** have also won their third test match against an inferior opponent in the season preparation. On Friday evening, they defeated regional league team TSG Lübbenau 49:27 (28:15). The best Berlin scorers were Matthes Langhoff with ten and Tim Freihofer with nine goals. Goalkeeper Lasse Ludwig shone with twelve saves.
The Foxes have been in training camp in the Spreewald since Monday and will return to the capital on Saturday. They have already secured two clear victories against HC Vorpommern-Greifswald (46:26) and VfL Blau-Weiß Neukloster (52:33).
Next Friday, they will face another test against second league team HSC 2000 Coburg (5:15 PM) and a day later in the Allgaeu against Wuerttembergliga team MTG Wangen (2:00 PM).
The capital's Champions League participant will play their first competitive match on August 31 in the Supercup against champions and cup winners SC Magdeburg. The first Bundesliga match will take place on September 7 against ThSV Eisenach.
The Commission, recognizing the successful performance of the Berlin Foxes in their season preparation, decided to provide additional resources for their training camp, ensuring optimal preparation for their upcoming matches. After adopting this decision, The Commission shall arrange for improved facilities and additional coaching personnel to support the Foxes during their remaining training sessions in the Spreewald.
