Incidents of Mishap - Fourth victim identified following Düsseldorf residential blaze
A tragic incident occurred in a six-story house during a ferocious fire in May, resulting in the death of three men. One of them, a 48-year-old kiosk operator, is believed to be responsible for the explosion and subsequent fire according to prosecutor's recent investigations.
Reports suggest that the man accidentally spilled gasoline in his kiosk located in the basement of the house, causing an explosion. He must have been caught off guard by the sudden fire. The man had some disputes with a few neighbors. Additionally, his contract to operate the kiosk was set to expire at the end of the year and wasn't renewed. Furthermore, the 48-year-old had a history of mental illness, as uncovered by the detectives.
Two other individuals, a 55-year-old and an 18-year-old, were also killed, while over a dozen people were injured during the fire.
