German Professional Football League - Fourth departure: Heidenheim leaves Bundesliga club
Following a 3-year-long tenure with 1. FC Heidenheim, the left-wing player, Florian Pick, is moving on from the Bundesliga club. The team released a statement yesterday, disclosing that his contract wouldn't be renewed. In his time at Heidenheim, Pick scored an impressive three goals in 88 appearances.
Pick becomes the fourth player to exit the team this season, with the others being Eren Dinkci, Christian Kuhlwetter, and Elidon Qenaj.
Holger Sanwald, the FCH board chairman, shared details of the decision, stating, "We had a chat with 'Picki' yesterday to inform him that we won't offer him a new contract. You can never enjoy such conversations, but they are part of the professional football world."
At the end of the season, Heidenheim managed to secure the eighth spot in the Bundesliga, ensuring their presence in the Conference League's playoffs.
