- Four suspects arrested in suspected gang robbery

Police arrest four out of seven suspects in a series of thefts across several counties near Reutlingen. The criminal police searched multiple apartments in the morning following a court order, as announced by the police and the public prosecutor's office. Evidence and suspected stolen goods were found in the apartments.

After a preliminary arrest and partial confessions, a judge sent a 34-year-old alleged mastermind, a 32-year-old woman, and two men aged 20 and 26 to jail, as reported. Further details were not initially known, according to a police spokesperson. In total, there are seven suspects aged between 19 and 34 who have been identified.

At least six thefts committed

The searches and arrests are based on investigations into the suspicion of committing multiple serious thefts together. Between late May and early August, there were at least six thefts and burglaries in self-service stores. The affected stores were located in the counties of Reutlingen, Göppingen, and Zollernalb. Items stolen included food and household and hygiene products. In the most recent theft in Burladingen (Zollernalbkreis) last week, goods worth over 1,200 euros disappeared. All six thefts are attributed to the group.

As the next step, the evidence secured in the apartments will be evaluated. It is also still unclear whether the group committed any further thefts and the extent to which the individual persons were involved in the thefts.

The arrest of four suspects is related to the series of crimes involving multiple thefts. The group is suspected of committing six serious thefts in self-service stores across several counties.
