Four suspects arrested after dating robberies
Police have arrested four suspects aged between 16 and 19 after robberies during fake dates. A total of four robberies took place in October. In at least some of them, they are said to have posed as women on a dating platform and lured their victims to the crime scene, as the police announced on Sunday. The victims were men aged 50, 47, 43 and 56. The suspects allegedly attacked them with pepper spray and stole several hundred euros. The men suffered injuries in the process.
The police had already searched the homes of the four suspects on Thursday and said they had found evidence. Arrest warrants had already been issued for one 16-year-old and two 19-year-olds before the searches, which were confirmed by the investigating judge. A 17-year-old suspect was initially released, but an arrest warrant has now also been applied for against him.
The suspects, linked to the dating robberies in October, hail from Upper Bavaria, according to reports. Despite initial release, an arrest warrant has been issued for a 17-year-old resident from Upper Bavaria as well.
