- Four siblings detained post-assault at a local vocational institution
A month post the stabbing of a music instructor at the local college in Wedel, close to Hamburg, authorities apprehended four supposed perpetrators. On July 22, the brothers, aged 15, 19, and two 21-year-olds, were initially detained but later released. Nevertheless, subsequent investigations led to their re-arrest on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm, as confirmed by the law enforcement.
Initially captured by the homicide unit, the brothers had remained silent during their initial hearing. With recent advancements in the investigation, strong suspicion arose, leading to their re-detention. One of the factors under scrutiny is whether the attack was an ambush.
In the aftermath of the incident, the music teacher, aged 67, from Tornesch (part of Pinneberg district), suffered severe injuries due to stab wounds in the Volkshochschule Wedel's parking lot. Regrettably, the authorities haven't disclosed the cause behind the attack or the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
After their initial release, the brothers faced re-arrest due to increasing suspicions surrounding the crime. Investigations revealed that the music teacher was targeted in an ambush-like attack.
