Award ceremony - Four Brandenburg companies receive innovation award

The Economy Ministry in Brandenburg has honored three companies for innovations. The companies FaradaIC Sensors, GlycoUniverse and Havelmi each received a award of 10,000 Euros. Another company received a special award. "I am convinced that all the award winners have the potential to further drive the positive economic development of Brandenburg", stated Economy Minister Jörg Steinbach (SPD).

An expert jury selected the three best innovations from six finalists according to the ministry: A miniaturized electrochemical gas sensor to precisely determine the freshness and shelf life of food, a sugar synthesis machine and a vegan yogurt alternative from local ingredients such as oats and sunflower oil.

A special award went to the digitalization of the business model of Lutz Spring GmbH for heating pump installation and maintenance. The Brandenburg Innovation Award annually honors sustainable product-, process- or service-innovations and primarily addresses small and medium-sized enterprises.

The specialized jury, overseen by BMWi in Potsdam, chose Lutz Spring GmbH for a special award in digitalization during the annual Brandenburg Innovation Award ceremony. This recognition emphasizes the company's significant contribution to innovation in the field of heating pump installation and maintenance. The Economic policy in Brandenburg, led by Minister Steinbach, highlights the vital role these award-winning companies, including FaradaIC Sensors, GlycoUniverse, and Havelmi, play in fostering economic growth through their innovative solutions.
