The Baptism at Wilhelmshaven's Southern Shore has gained significant popularity. Both young and old participate in the baptismal rites, which take place during a grand gathering on the sandy beach.

The Annual South Beach Baptism Ceremony holds a significant place: Utilizing water from the North Sea, youngsters, teens, and adults get baptized during a grand celebration on the South Beach in Wilhelmshaven, as the tide rolls in. As per Reverend Bernhard Busemann, approximately 600 to 700 individuals attended. A total of 48 individuals received baptism under the clear blue sky.

Three churches in the southern region of Wilhelmshaven - namely, the Haven Church, Banter Church, and Neuende Church - spearhead this widely appreciated event. The ceremony has been taking place by the North Sea since the year 2013.
