Bundesliga 2 - Fortuna on the road: From Nuremberg to the cup in Magdeburg
Second-division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf is going on an extended away trip. The fourth-placed team first travels to 1 FC Nuremberg on Friday (Saturday, 1.30 pm/Sky). After the game, the team will stay in Herzogenaurach and then travel to Magdeburg on Monday, where the Düsseldorfers will play in the cup round of 16 on Tuesday (18:00/Sky). "The focus is on regeneration. That way we save ourselves a trip and don't have to travel all over Germany," said Fortuna coach Daniel Thioune.
Players who are currently still injured, such as Christos Tzolis, Felix Klaus and Jordy de Wijs, will therefore also be going on tour. The injured professionals Marcel Sobottka, Andre Hoffmann and Matthias Zimmermann are not taking part.
