Second Division of the German Bundesliga - Fortuna Düsseldorf goalkeeper Niemczycki joins Darmstadt.
The second division football team SV Darmstadt 98 has recruited goalkeeper Karol Niemczycki from fellow league competitor Fortuna Düsseldorf. As per sporting director Paul Fernie, "He possesses all the qualities required for a goalkeeper at this level, in addition, he has ample room for growth."
The 24-year-old appeared in two cup matches and one league game for Düsseldorf the previous season. He began playing for the Rhinelanders in the summer of 2023, and his contract with the club was valid until 2025. The length of his agreement with Darmstadt has not been made public yet.
