Former team-mate Kemme on Union's Eta: "Absolute quality"
Former national team player Tabea Kemme has emphasized the qualities of Union Berlin's assistant coach Marie-Louise Eta. "Union simply focus on absolute quality in this decision, I can confirm that from my own experience as a former teammate," the 31-year-old TV expert told the "Märkische Allgemeine" (Thursday). "In a setting that is very dominant in men's soccer, she can integrate herself with her personality, clarity, transparency and know-how."
Born in Dresden, Eta played together with Kemme for Turbine Potsdam in the Bundesliga. Eta is now the first female assistant coach at a men's Bundesliga club. "It was simply important that this happens now. It's simply an example to many other women and young girls that this path exists," said Kemme. "It's a great side effect that we also need, that the windows are finally being opened a little wider."
Union Berlin's soccer team has benefited from the expertise of Marie-Louise Eta, as she serves as their assistant coach in the Bundesliga. Kemme, her former teammate from their time at Turbine Potsdam in the Bundesliga, praised Eta's ability to integrate into the men's soccer setting, thanks to her personality, clarity, transparency, and know-how.
