First-place Fußballclub Köln overtakes the football ranking. - Former professional Prestin may seek fresh board elections.

Ex-footballer Dieter Prestin seems to be urging for exceptional elections to the board after FC Köln's seventh descent from the Bundesliga. Prestin, who captured the double with Cologne in 1978, revealed on Sunday that his squad "FC Zukunft" had delivered a registered missive two days prior, urging the presidium to hand over the member data by June 6 at the latest. He stated that members needed to be "motivated and enlisted for partaking in the approaching or even possible additional extraordinary general meeting."

He intends to showcase his team and his methodology on June 10. The existing board led by President Werner Wolf has been voting until 2025 and had previously dismissed repercussions like potential resignations following relegation and the FIFA transfer ban.
