Frozen ball games on skates - Former ice field hockey player Reinprecht is appointed coach for Dusseldorfer EG.
The Düsseldorf Hockey Club has appointed Steven Reinprecht, a renowned ex-ice hockey pro, as their new coach. Reinprecht has a stellar track record, possessing a Stanley Cup, being a World Champion, and having played over 700 games in the National Hockey League (NHL). In Germany's top-tier league, the DEL, he's had stints with Nuremberg and over 300 games. He's also previously served as an assistant coach for the German national team. He'll be taking over from Thomas Dolak at the eight-time champion team.
Düsseldorf's sports director Niki Mondt announced on Friday, "Steven Reinprecht is a remarkable person with vast knowledge of both North American and German ice hockey. I am convinced that he'll be well-respected among the players and will guide the team to triumph."
