Football game news: - Former HSV coach Tim Walter now leads Hull City.
Tim Walter, aged 48, is the latest coach at English second division club Hull City. The club in the eastern part of the country has offered him a three-year contract starting from July 1st, pending a successful visa application. This announcement was made by the club just a few days ago.
In anticipation of these changes, Hull City had let go of their previous coach Liam Rosenior. Last season, Hull finished seventh in the league, which was just one spot away from securing a spot in the playoffs that would lead to the Premier League.
Walter was previously fired by Hamburg in February after being with the club for about two and a half years. During his tenure, he had twice failed to secure promotion to the Bundesliga through the relegation process. This season, the objective of promotion was still elusive, and the club ultimately parted ways with Walter, hiring Steffen Baumgart instead. However, even under Baumgart's direction, HSV could not secure promotion and finished fourth.
Walter's previous coaching experience includes VfB Stuttgart and Holstein Kiel, but this is his first job overseas.
