Ex-pro hockey player Thomas Dolak, who previously managed DEG, departed following a dismal season. He's now assumed a different role at a team near the bottom of the standings.

Previously, Thomas Dolak, the previous DEG coach, will now serve as an assistant coach for Augsburger Panther. The Bavarian team, which is part of the German Ice Hockey League, announced this news on a Friday. DEG, at the start of June, shared their decision to separate with the experienced ex-player, who had been associated with their youth team since 2014 and later on became a coach for their senior team in 2023. In Augsburg, a team that stood at the bottom of the table in the previous season, Dolak will be teaming up with Headcoach Ted Dent, Dennis Endras, and Simon Sengele.
