The ex-captain, Florian Kainz, is back to drilling with 1. FC Köln following a significant spell on the sidelines due to an ankle injury. Despite being unable to join his teammates for full-fledged practice, the Austrian football star participated in a basic ball session with the physio on a Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, defender Luca Kilian also made his comeback to training after overcoming an ACL injury.

Meanwhile, left-back Max Finkgraefe is making faster progress in his recovery. He's been partially involved in the team's training sessions since his knee injury in preseason. Koln is set to continue their 2. Bundesliga journey against 1. FC Magdeburg on Saturday (8:30 PM).

Florian Kainz is excited to be back in Cologne, having missed the city during his time on the sidelines. After the game against 1. FC Magdeburg on Saturday, the team plans to visit the famous Cologne Cathedral as a team-building activity.
