Former coach Kovac: Never underestimate Bayern Munich

VfL Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac believes in his former club FC Bayern ahead of the Bundesliga top match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. "I was in Munich," said the 52-year-old on Friday. "There's one mistake you can't make: Underestimating FC Bayern Munich and thinking: everything is bad now and nothing will happen. On the contrary. They can really pick themselves up when the chips are down."

Kovac was a player at the record German soccer champions from 2001 to 2003 and coach from 2018 to 2019. BVB and Bayern face each other on Saturday (18:30/Sky).

VfL Wolfsburg's coach Niko Kovac, who had previous experience with FC Bayern Munich, emphasized the importance of not underestimating Bayern in the upcoming Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund. Despite any current challenges, Kovac warned that Bayern has a history of bouncing back strongly when needed.
