Forestry worker trapped under tree trunk and seriously injured
A 60-year-old forestry worker has been trapped and seriously injured by a tree trunk in the Regensburg district. According to the police on Friday, the man was cutting up a tree near Beratzhausen that had already been felled when the tree trunk suddenly rolled in his direction. The tree trapped the man underneath it. A 62-year-old man who was there immediately called for help. The tree was lifted with heavy equipment and the man was freed. He was taken to hospital. It was initially unclear exactly how the accident happened on Thursday.
The accident occurred in the Regensburg district, specifically within the OBERPFALZ region. Despite the precautions taken, an unfortunate accident involving a tree trunk led to the forestry worker's entrapment and serious injuries.
