A lumberjack discovered a dead man in a forest near Zella-Mehlis (district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen). The body was found on Wednesday morning, as police reported. The deceased is believed to be in his early 50s. His exact age was initially unknown. The criminal police are investigating the cause of death. Currently, it is suspected that he had health issues. The man was likely exercising, as he was wearing sportswear. Earlier, MDR had reported on the discovery.
