In Brandenburg, the wildfire risk has further increased with high temperatures and low rainfall. Now, 9 out of 14 districts are under the highest alert level 5, indicating a very high danger, according to the State Ministry for the Environment. The risk remains high in the districts of Ostprignitz-Ruppin, Oberhavel, Uckermark, and Elbe-Elster. Currently, only the Prignitz district faces a moderate risk.

Throughout Wednesday and the coming days, temperatures will remain high, with local showers and thunderstorms expected. The German Weather Service has also forecast rain for parts of Brandenburg on Thursday.

The soaring temperatures and dry conditions continue to fuel the wildfire, making it a formidable threat in Brandenburg. Despite the forecast of local showers and thunderstorms, the risk of fire breakouts remains high in districts like Ostprignitz-Ruppin and Uckermark.
